This image of Jeffrey Bilhuber's 17th Century Long Island home "has me at hello." Maybe it's the traditional, time-worn architecture or maybe it's the towhead peaking out of the door, but either way this photograph makes me happy. I'm tacking it up on my board.

For me it is the old soul of a house livened up with a new little toddler soul. The inhabitants of a house make a home alive. Love that branch in front too -
This would make a wonderful illustration.

What an inviting home...and that little towhead is just precious!
Have been catching up on on your past few posts....what a great trip you had. This brings back great memories of when we lived in San Fran and could pop up before we had children.
Love all the hotspots you shared. I'll keep those handy for the next time we go!

love the front door...and the new design of your blog looks cool. (you did change it right? forgive me if I'm wrong.)
