And although we are happy to see her in the latest and greatest, we are more excited about the personal journey she has taken since becoming a mother.  She has opened up about her has struggles in the past few years due to her father's death, but she seems to have risen above and ended up on top!  Gywneth's latest accomplishment is a cookbook called My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family and Togetherness.  What a remarkable way to honor her fathers memory.  The forward is written by her friend Mario Batali whom she recently spent time with in Spain to experience what we can only imagine was an amazing culinary feast and an invaluable life experience.

Here are few thing's Gwyneth has to say about food, cooking and family life:

"In the last ten years or so, cooking has become my main ancillary passion in life."

"The stove is really the epicenter of my house — I am never far away from it and most of the time there is something atop it, simmering away for my family."

"I am constantly thinking about ways to give my children something filled with as much nutritional value as possible."
"More often than not when I prepare desserts, I am thinking about keeping the sugar intake low, as well as limiting other ingredients that don't do us any favors."

"When I was growing up, the tomato soup I had was Campbell's, and how I love it to this day."

We just had a girls' night last weekend and went to see Country Strong. I thought the film was better than it's reviews, and Gwyneth handled the role well! I know there are hatred out there, but I love her--that she has made her own path, the clear importance of family in her life, her enviable style. Thanks for posting these lovely photos!

I had already pre-ordered this. She has definitely grown on me - partly I think due to her own maturation. And like you, I adore this loving tribute to her father. How can you not like a girl who likes to cook. And did you see her on Glee? She was FABULOUS!
